Spics ’N Dip is a silk-printed image narrating a violent encounter between a migrant cat and a two narco trafficking rats in the artist’s series of prints titled The Codex Migratus. In the scene, a rope strangled migrant cat dangles above a stream of flowing green acid which has been used to dispose of previous captives. A Rat God oversees the scene, depicted as a Mixtec day sign, located in the upper left corner. The structure beneath the skeleton cats is intentionally designed to invoke a reference to a boot, illustrating a rhetorical play on language.
