Each mask is imprinted with a unique pattern of flora and fauna motifs: a peony garden, a koi pond, fluttering birds or butterflies alighting upon blossoming flowers. The artist was inspired by the popularity of sheet masks, a popular self-care Asian beauty routine that promises hydrated, smooth, and bright skin. “It is full of desire for something other than you have.
