Cisco Jimenez plays with scale in his work "Maíz transgénico." The majority of the work explores what corn looks like under a microscope. However, the small frame within the picture plane plays with micro and macro views in the style of traditional scientific drawings. The juxtaposition of the styles leads the viewer to question "what's in my food?" This mixed media piece is a watercolor and enamel on an old metal pharmacy sign.
