Dreamlike and tranquil, Pesce features a cityscape, with a foreground full of insect taxonomies and astronomical diagrams covering the sky. This work is from a series inspired by a nature reserve on the banks of the Rio de la Plata estuary in Buenos Aires. The artist described how, once the area was protected and the port saw less heavy traffic, it now boasts over a hundred bird species. The diversity is reflected in the transfer of naturalistic studies of wildlife at the bottom of the work. The astrological projections were made by using a computer programme that provided Pesce with the location of the stars and planets at that moment. Nature and life return to an area once human intervention is removed from the natural course, and Pesce captures this phenomenon with Paisaje Mediático.
