Dreamlike and tranquil, Pesce features a cityscape with a foreground full of insect taxonomies and astronomical diagrams that cover the sky. This work is part of a series inspired by a nature reserve in the Puerto Madero district of Buenos Aires, on the banks of the Río de la Plata estuary. Puerto Madero served as a port for cargo ships carrying goods into Argentina at the end of the 19th century. It has since been replaced to accommodate ever-larger cargo ships. The original port has now become a popular area for fine dining and cafe culture.

The artist describes how nature gradually returned to the area after it was protected, and it now boasts more than three hundred bird species. Pesce refers to this diversity by drawing on naturalist studies of insects and wildlife. The diversity is reflected in the naturalistic wildlife studies at the bottom of the work. The astrological projections were made using a computer program that provided Pesce with the locations of the stars and planets at that moment. Nature and life return to an area once human intervention is removed from the natural course, and Pesce captures this phenomenon in Paisaje Mediático.
