Commissioned by Linda Pace in 2005 forThe Child Abuse and Neglect Courts of Bexar County. Pace commissioned the work thanks to a $100,000 grant from the Tobin Foundation, which is funded through the estate of Robert L.B. Tobin.

The Bexar County Courthouse, built between 1892 and 1897, is the oldest and largest historic courthouse in Texas. The Children's Court is located on the third floor of the Bexar County Courthouse.
