A few of Cassie’s works on paper are solitary sketches of a mountain scene, envisioning landscapes before human interventions. While Cassie's thematic focus is often on spaces in between, the sketch of the mountain is a nostalgic look into the past. By imagining these landscapes before human intervention, we are encouraged to undo what has occurred between then and now, working backwards from our vantage point in time to see a world wild and untouched.
