From living in Pakistan to the Netherlands, the artist has a unique ritual when arriving at a new location, "Upon arriving at a place I am staying, I respect the memories of the past families that lived, cried, loved, and died in the space I inhabit. I can feel the families that lived there and try to find out as much as I can about them. I own where I live, if only for a night. Was there more happiness than sorrow here? Did someone hang their hat in this room or that room? Such questions lead me to how important a home is to me, especially with a family."
