An ode to the short winters of South Texas, 'Winter Grass' is a celebration of the long-awaited break of the summertime heat, “When the weather started to turn a bit...An ode to the short winters of South Texas, "Winter Grass" is a celebration of the long-awaited break of the summertime heat, “When the weather started to turn a bit and get crispy and cold, I was excited to see the groves of new fresh green leaves sprouting.” The landscape has tones of Prussian blue, a color that Perez took her time choosing in an attempt to capture the grass before another quick weather change.
