The original model for the larger-scale work was created in 1971. The spirit of Modernity inspired Hersua, the highway (periferico) that circled Mexico City, inaugurated for the Summer Olympic Games in 1968, and a renewed mobility of the public. This work pays homage to that with the horizontal orientation and lines that recall roads and bridges. It also alludes to the basic forms of classic Minimalism, but with a Mexican aesthetic, by using the use of bright pink color. The larger-scale version of this work was exhibited at Juan Acha: Por una Nueva Problemática Artística, Museo de Arte Moderno, Mexico City, 2016.
