In regard to the title of the exhibition "Applied Pressure" the artist states, "The way in which images become individual in this sense, and account for the specificity of the time of their making, has to do with applying pressure. In order to make a work of art I have to create formal connections for the subject matter and content of the work to have its own room, this makes it particular and specific. It’s not the same as the work that uses the same images even though there is a connection." - Gaby Collins-Fernandez
