"They are fairly large vessels and kind of have a bodily feel to them. When I finished them, I was looking at them together, and one was kind of larger, bigger, you know rounder, more rotund and the other one was a little taller and thinner, and it was an old, even old to me old, comedy duo named Laurel and Hardy. Stan and Oliver were their first names and it got stuck in my head, and that is all I can refer to them as. As Stan and Ollie. That idea of a physical body or embodying, in a ceramic vessel, to me they have a sort of, even the way that they sound when you talk into them they are sort of resonant because of the material.
