The Quid Pro Quo Series references Catholicism iconography through the use of a font designed by Fray Gabriel Chavez de la Mora (1929-2022), a student of Mathias Goeritz (1915-1990). This typography heightens the mystical quality of the works and their role in financial speculation as assets, establishing a synergy between rationality and desire, between faith and pragmatism, and between art objects and merchandise governed by the art market. The portfolio includes a total of seven reliefs.
