His Viaje al Paraíso series, or Journey to Paradise series, is a testament to this evolving visual vocabulary that speaks to his surroundings. As Leiva himself puts it, “Argentina was formative and the heart and soul of my creations, Miami is the place of growth and Italy provided me with excitement and beauty.” This personal journey adds a layer of depth and relatability to his art, inviting the audience to share in his experiences.

In Viaje al Paraiso VI featuring a central figure whose zig-zagging legs dynamically traverse a fluorescent bed of flora, the linear and organic configurations that make up its structure—coupled with the use of silver— evoke a machine-like quality that renders it a part of the artist’s futuristic vision. Brilliantly colored pistils and stamens sprout out of the foreground as droplets of gold frame the disk.
