The first floral cyanotype in this series, created in 2022, shows a calm, steady surface — interrupted only by a scattering of fallen petals. The tall vase holds a stream-of-consciousness text, handwritten and layered with the artist’s thoughts, doubts, and insecurities. The floral display itself is changing: some blooms stay upright, while others have started to collapse. It’s a portrait of hanging on — of keeping it together just a little longer while searching for clarity, direction, or meaning. And all the while, amid the expanding chaos of the background, it feels as if everyone else has it all figured out. Everyone… except us.
