Pedro Friedeberg, a Mexican artist who was often called “the last Surrealist,” known for his hallucinatory paintings of imaginary cities and for his absurdist furniture designs, particularly his chair shaped as a human hand, died on March 5 in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
