Remembering Mel Casas (1929-2014)

San Antonio-based artist Mel Casas died on November 30, 2014 after a two-year battle with cancer. The Smithsonian American Art Museum proudly owns paintings by the artist, including Humanscape 62, which was featured in the exhibition Our America: The Latino Presence in American Art.
