Published by Conaculta, Mexico, on the ocassion of the exhibition Form and metaphor: A selection of work, 1983-2012, the first retrospective exhibition of the renowned Mexican painter Pedro Diego Alvarado (Mexico City, 1956), offers the viewer a novel review of Mexico through the color, texture and voluptuousness of its still lifes and landscapes, which bear witness to his keen aesthetic vision and his feeling for the Mexican land, reconciling in its paintings the past and present of our country.
The National Autonomous University of Mexico, the National Council for Culture and the Arts, the Government of the Federal District and the Old College of San Ildefonso, join forces again to present the art of Pedro Diego Alvarado in Mexico City, in a retrospective that will be inaugurated on Tuesday, November 13 at 8:00 p.m. and will remain open until Sunday, March 10, 2013.
