The artist's newest edition is a special silkscreen, ten runs, done at Coronado Studio, Austin and hand stitched by the artist with threads. It has iconic images that Consuelo favors, like the Virgen de Guadalupe, Emiliano Zapata, the Caution highway sign and a black and white photo (left bottom corner) of her as a child with her mom and produce crates; the family were migrant farm workers and will travel from Sacramento to Calexico. Yolanda Lopez’s (1942-2021) iconic Chicana feminist Portrait of the Artist as the Virgin of Guadalupe (1978) is also featured, depicting Lopez beaming in the Virgin’s place.
