When asked why many of her sketches have dates later than the execution of the dates after the execution of the sculptures they illustrate, Teresa stated that these drawings are often later versions that restate her already made sculptures, so that they can be seen as projects that "improve" or simply contemplate variations on Serrano's own work that has already materialized.
