The artist spent much of her adolescent life attending church and helping as an altar server. She was influenced by the decadent and elaborate architecture surrounding her, leading her to the Rococo style. The playful and hypnotic details disarm viewers, drawing them in to spend time digesting the dark underbelly of the American Dream in her works. Merging the contemporary and the classical, the artist transports the essence of Madame de Pompadour into the 21st century, introducing her to new beauty standards. In true Marie Antoinette style, the painting oozes with excess and modern status symbols adorned with Crocs, cellphones, gold jewelry, acrylic nails, and Polly Pocket play sets.Exhibitions
