Rosario, Lisa, and company pose for a photograph in front of a mural on what is now César Chávez Avenue. The mural features life-sized characters of barrio residents and the Los Angeles skyline. The group stands alongside the figures in the mural, facing the camera. With their free hands, they each form a W, F, or 1. In "White Fence Revisited," Alfonso Morales Carillo observes: “In the portraits Graciela took of Lisa, Rosario, and company, the living models and pictorial characters seem to be participating in a peer reunion. This mural, along with one other, was painted by David A. Lopez. Accompanying the murals was a poem by Dr. Sam Zepeda, which was dedicated to a young man who had fallen victim to gang violence. It reads “Hermano / y porque estoy aquí en la tierra / sin sangrar / sin andar / Hermano por qué?” Which translates to “Brother / and why am I here on earth / not bleeding / not moving / Brother, why?”
