In "Liz Biznaga" Martinez exhibits masterful sketches of portraits much like the others in his accoutrement of works. We see the same basis of presence from the portrait to viewer, but subverted with only the black and white of the graphite to contour the faces we see without color. Martinez uses this to his advantage as the piece gives us a contrasting glance into a different perspective of this work from his typical usage of color to express his vision.
