They are made on a spinning wheel, but not a mechanical one or not a motorized one. It's called a Banding wheel. It looks like a disc that spins and has barring and you can spin it around. And so they are coiled up, using coils and clay that have been pounded thin to kind of create the shape, but in the making of them sometimes they will start to get off center a little bit, and sometimes then ill exaggerate that to kind of create a more irregular form. Because I like that notion that they are not symmetrical, that they have this sort of sway. They also kind of when they are together they sort of lean into one another a little bit like there's almost a gravitational pull between or something between them. Or traction. Because they are sculptures they look different from all of the different sides. So when you walk around you see this sort of irregularity.
