Ethel Shipton's artistic practice is informed by a strong conceptual base and encompasses a variety of expressions such as painting, installation, printmaking, photography, and text. Cambio/Change draws inspiration from the political atmosphere we have been living in, particularly the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections. The work was created before the COVID-19 pandemic struck, and as Shipton reflects, "seems to speak louder now as we find ourselves in a completely different world."
